The Public Administration Study Program organized a Guest Lecture on Public Policy Analysis on May 7, 2026, under the theme “Public Policy in Indonesia: The Urgency of Quality, Development, and Public Benefit.” The event featured Riant Nugroho as the guest speaker and was moderated by Maria Rosarie Harni Triastuti, S.IP., M.Si., the lecturer responsible for the Public Policy Analysis course.
During his presentation, Dr. Nugroho explained that public policy refers to decisions or actions taken by the government to address issues faced by society. Public policy is not limited to written regulations; it also encompasses government programs and concrete actions aimed at delivering public services. The primary objective of public policy is to improve public welfare and effectively address various societal challenges in a targeted manner.
Through this guest lecture, students gained new insights into the importance of public policy analysis and evaluation to ensure that policies truly deliver benefits to society. In addition to broadening their knowledge, the event helped students develop a deeper understanding of how public policies are implemented in everyday life and the various challenges encountered in their implementation within the Indonesian context.
