As part of the preparations for the MBKM Community Service Program (KKN) for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, students from the Public Administration Program at UNPAR’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) participated in a series of orientation activities before directly engaging with the community. The orientation consisted of seven sessions covering a variety of topics, designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and readiness needed to carry out their KKN activities in the village.
The orientation series covered various topics relevant to the implementation of the “Integrity Village” Community Service Program, ranging from an introduction to the program itself, community empowerment, field data collection, anti-corruption, root cause analysis and design thinking, to the prevention of physical and sexual violence. Additionally, students received guidance on group assignments, etiquette, and rules of conduct while residing and carrying out activities in the village.
It is hoped that this diverse range of materials will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the context, challenges, and preparations needed before carrying out field activities. The orientation also serves as an opportunity for students to understand the importance of building good relationships with the community and conducting the Community Service Program (KKN) responsibly and in accordance with the values of integrity.
Through this series of orientation sessions, students are expected to be better prepared to learn alongside the community, identify various opportunities and issues in the village, and develop contributions that are relevant to the community’s needs. Armed with the knowledge and understanding gained, students are expected to carry out their KKN while upholding good manners, discipline, and the values of integrity throughout their time in the community.
