On October 8, 2026, new students in the Public Administration program at Parahyangan Catholic University participated in the New Student Institutional Tour by visiting the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB).

This event featured Mr. Firmansyah, S.ST., M.A.B., as the guest speaker, presenting a talk titled “Bureaucratic Reform: Achieving a High-Performing, Ethical, and Service-Oriented Government.” Through this session, students were encouraged to understand the importance of bureaucratic reform in improving the quality of governance and public services in Indonesia.

Bureaucratic reform is not only about changing administrative systems and procedures, but also involves efforts to build a civil service that is professional, has integrity, and is oriented toward the needs of the community. A government that performs well, has integrity, and serves the public is an important part of realizing effective and accountable public services.
For Public Administration students, this activity provides an opportunity to connect the concepts learned in class with the practical aspects of government administration. The visit to the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) also offers insight into the government’s role in driving bureaucratic reform and improving the quality of services provided to the public.
