Students from the Public Administration Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Parahyangan Catholic University achieved a remarkable accomplishment in West Java. Arsallya Namera, along with her team consisting of Dinda Biavinca, Tasha Almira Najwa Harahap, and Krisna Bayu Alfarezha, won 3rd place in the Best Paper category at the SIAP JABAR 2024 competition on November 16–17, 2024.
As is well known, the West Java Public Administration Gathering (SIAP JABAR) is a competition held regularly to strengthen bonds among students in Public Administration programs across West Java. This event has been held since 2019 and is participated in by nine public and private universities in West Java. This year, the SIAP JABAR event was held at Muhammadiyah University of Bandung (UMB) under the theme “Optimizing Government Policy During a Leadership Transition.” Through the subtheme “Digital Governance,” Arsallya Namera and her team focused on analyzing the integration of public service applications in the city of Bandung.
The SIAP JABAR 2024 series took place over three days. The first day began with a National Seminar and presentations of research papers by each delegation. Activities on the second day included drafting and presenting policy briefs, followed by a general assembly. On the third day, there was a public hearing at Gedung Sate, a gala dinner, and the announcement of the competition winners.
During their time as delegates for SIAP JABAR 2024, Arsallya, Dinda, Tasha, and Krisna gained a wealth of experience and learned a great deal alongside faculty members and fellow Public Administration students from various universities in West Java. The Public Administration program has provided a platform and facilitated opportunities for its students to grow, advance, and excel.
The delegates expressed their gratitude for the guidance of their inspiring faculty members, the invaluable support from their families, and their friends who have always been there for them. All of this has served as a major source of motivation for us to achieve the best possible results. May this serve as inspiration for students in UNPAR’s Public Administration Program to participate in both national and international competitions.
