THE 4TH ICOGPASS: UNPAR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION STUDENTS EARN BEST PRESENTER AWARD

Students from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program at Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) achieved outstanding success at the 4th International Conference on Governance, Public Administration, and Social Science (ICoGPASS), an international academic conference organized by STIA LAN. Held in a hybrid format on November 16, 2022, the conference adopted the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger” and brought together academics and Public Administration students from universities across Indonesia. The event aimed to provide a platform for researchers to disseminate their work to the international academic community.

Representing UNPAR, Nurchairani Sekar Kinasih, Vienka Lugina Handy, Ali Akbar, and several other Public Administration students actively participated in the conference. The program included paper presentations, academic discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding presenters.

Under the supervision of Tutik Rachmawati, lecturer of the Bureaucracy and Governance course, the students presented their bibliometric analysis research. In addition to mentoring the research and paper preparation process, she collaborated closely with the student team and participated in the conference discussions by responding to questions from fellow participants.

Thanks to the quality of their presentation and research, the UNPAR student team received the Best Presenter Award at ICoGPASS. Furthermore, the active participation of UNPAR faculty members and students throughout the conference contributed to Parahyangan Catholic University being recognized as the Best Partner Institution.

For the students, participating in an international academic conference for the first time was both a valuable learning experience and a significant milestone in their academic journey. Their achievement reflects the Public Administration Program’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and encouraging students to actively engage in international conferences and scholarly competitions.
