Students from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program at Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) have once again demonstrated their innovative capacity by securing funding through the 2024 Student Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa/PKM). Organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), PKM is one of Indonesia’s most prestigious national student programs, designed to encourage innovation, research, entrepreneurship, community engagement, and creative problem-solving.
The program aims to strengthen both students’ technical and interpersonal competencies by fostering creativity, critical thinking, leadership, technological innovation, and social responsibility. Through PKM, students are encouraged to develop solutions that contribute to society while supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
In 2024, Parahyangan Catholic University submitted 36 project proposals, with five proposals successfully selected for national funding. Of these, two funded proposals were developed by students from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program, reflecting the program’s strong commitment to academic innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The first funded proposal, under the Constructive Idea Video (PKM-VGK) category, is entitled “Partner Disabilitas.” The project was developed by Alif Zidan F., Anselmus Erlangga, Azriya R. P., and Chresentia Putri under the supervision of Kristian Widya Wicaksono, Ph.D.
The second funded proposal, also in the PKM-VGK category, is entitled “The Implementation of the Meals on App (MOA) Application to Support Stunting Prevention and Reduce Food Waste in Bandung.” The project was prepared by Amelia Augustine Aan Putri, Caroline Dwi Sonya Putri Patracia, Joyce Miracle M., and Windi Julia Wulandari, under the supervision of Jeremia Gom Gom Parulian Simanjuntak, S.Sos., M.A.P.
This achievement continues the program’s strong track record in the Student Creativity Program. In 2023, two proposals from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program also received national funding, demonstrating the consistency of its students in producing innovative ideas that address contemporary public challenges.
The success of these projects reflects the Bachelor of Public Administration Program’s commitment to cultivating creativity, research excellence, and community-oriented innovation. It is expected that these achievements will inspire more students to actively participate in national academic competitions and continue developing impactful solutions that contribute to society.
