Students from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program at Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) participated in the IAPA International Conference 2024, held from November 4–7, 2024, at Graha Sabha Pramana, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta. Carrying the theme “Towards World-Class Bureaucracy,” the conference brought together academics, researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss contemporary issues in public administration and governance.
Organized by the Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA) in collaboration with the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA), the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), and the Asian Group of Public Administration (AGPA), the conference featured discussions on digital transformation, evidence-based policymaking, bureaucratic innovation, risk management, and social inclusion. The hybrid event welcomed participants from universities and institutions across Indonesia and abroad, alongside distinguished international scholars and government leaders.
Under the supervision of Tutik Rachmawati, Ph.D., Jeffri Yosep Simanjorang, S.Kesos., M.Sos., and Kristian Widya Wicaksono, Ph.D., students from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program presented three research papers during the conference. Their participation provided an opportunity to share research findings, exchange ideas with academics and practitioners, and engage in discussions on current challenges and innovations in public administration.
The conference served as an important platform for strengthening academic collaboration while encouraging the development of practical solutions for more inclusive, transparent, and effective public governance. Through paper presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions, participants contributed to advancing knowledge and supporting sustainable development in the field of public administration.
The participation of UNPAR students in this international conference reflects the program’s commitment to fostering research excellence and expanding students’ engagement in global academic forums. It is expected that this achievement will inspire more students to actively participate in national and international conferences while continuing to produce impactful research on contemporary public administration issues.
